"COPYRIGHT" means the person who created something is legally protected against people who want to copy his/her work. It does not mean (as some people think) the creations can be copied willy-nilly! Copyright exists on Christian Computer Art material (and on this site itself).
In order to make the products useful to you, the Copyright owner has decided to waive some of his rights by way of permissions. These are detailed below. Please note that the copyright conditions for the products we sell still apply to Christian Computer Art graphics on this site - in other words if you haven't bought them, you can only use the graphics for personal purposes.

The illustrations provided by Christian Computer Art are free of any known copyright restrictions in their printed form, except for those by Annie Vallotton for the Good News Bible. The copyright of the electronic representation of all the pictures as computer files belongs to David Instone Brewer (1994-97). These files may not be resold or distributed to others.

Annie Vallotton illustrations are reproduced from the Good News Bible © American Bible Society, New York, 1966, 1971, 1976 and 1992, published by the Bible Societies/ HarperCollins Publishers. These Good News Bible illustrations may be used by churches or schools for church service sheets, church magazines and banners, housegroup material, Sunday School material, religious education worksheets in schools, preaching aids and church posters. They may not be placed on Internet sites or any other public-access sources without written permission from the American Bible Society. The following copyright notice must accompany the Good News Bible pictures: © American Bible Society.

All the images, apart from the Good News Bible pictures, may be used on Internet sites and other electronic publications, but no more than twenty images in any one publication. Larger collections of these files must not be resold or distributed to others without permission. The smaller JPG files may be used without copyright acknowledgment. The other, larger versions of the pictures must be accompanied by a hotspot reading "© Christian Computer Art, 1994-97" with a link to http://www.CC-Art.com

Christian Computer Art does not assert that any picture is copyright free, but merely that they are free of any known copyright. If any picture is used for profit, records should be kept in case the original artist comes forward to claim his fee. Annie Vallotton illustrations may not be used for profit without permission from the Bible Society.
