Eleazar
Eleazar, son of Annanius the high priest (Acts 23.3), Silver Shekel. He refused to offer sacrifices for the Roman empire, and struck this coin in defiance of Rome. Left: 'Jerusalem', a tetrastyle temple. Right: 'First Year of the Redemption of Israel', palm branch 'lulab' and citron 'ethrog'.
